Unspecified (verse presented as an authoritative phalaśruti-style statement within the chapter)

Concept: Proper hearing of the teaching grants attainment beyond heaven—jīvanmukti and entry into Kṛṣṇa’s supreme abode.

Application: Cultivate daily śravaṇa: listen to Purāṇic/Gītā teachings with attention and conduct alignment; prioritize liberation-oriented devotion over merit-seeking for svarga.

Primary Rasa: shanta

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: celestial_realm

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"A sage recites from palm-leaf manuscripts while a listener sits in rapt attention; from the sound-waves of the teaching, a luminous path unfolds upward beyond the jeweled gates of svarga into a vaster, serene realm. At the summit, Kṛṣṇa’s supreme dhāma shines—an ocean of light with a lotus-throne and a gentle, all-pervading presence suggesting jīvanmukti.","primary_figures":["Sage-reciter","Devoted listener","Kṛṣṇa (as the supreme abode’s presiding presence)","Celestial attendants (subtle)"],"setting":"A forest āśrama transitioning into a visionary cosmic ascent—svarga gates below, parama-dhāma above.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["sapphire blue","lotus pink","pearl white","emerald green","gold leaf"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: sage and listener in an ornate āśrama foreground, palm-leaf text; above them a gold-leaf radiant pathway rising past a jeweled svarga arch into Kṛṣṇa’s parama-dhāma with lotus throne, heavy gold embellishment, rich reds/greens, gem-studded ornaments, symmetrical devotional composition.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: lyrical āśrama scene with delicate brushwork; a translucent ascent into a serene upper realm, cool blues and soft pinks, refined faces, gentle clouds, subtle celestial architecture; Kṛṣṇa’s presence rendered with understated glow and poetic restraint.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines—sage reciting, listener with folded hands; stylized svarga arch and a broad luminous band leading to a lotus-throne realm; saturated natural pigments, characteristic eyes, temple-wall aesthetic, ornate borders.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: Kṛṣṇa-centered upper register with lotus motifs and floral borders; lower register shows kathā-śravaṇa in an āśrama; cows/peacocks subtly integrated as auspicious motifs; deep blues and gold, intricate lotuses symbolizing 'svargottara' transcendence."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"meditative","suggested_raga":"Yaman","pace":"slow-meditative","voice_tone":"serene","sound_elements":["tanpura drone","soft temple bells","forest birds","gentle conch at cadence","silence after the final line"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: svargottaram + imam = svargottaramimam (Anusvara-yojana); jīvanmuktaḥ + tu = jīvanmuktastu (Visarga-Satva); tu + iha = tviha (Yan); iha + amutra = ihāmutra (Savarna-dirgha); ca + uttamam = cottamam (Guna)

FAQs

It means a state or goal “higher than heaven”—i.e., superior to heavenly enjoyment and aligned with liberation and the supreme divine realm.

It presents the highest destination as Kṛṣṇa’s supreme abode, implying that hearing/receiving this teaching leads beyond svarga toward a distinctly Vaiṣṇava ultimate goal.

The verse stresses attentive, correct listening to sacred teaching (śravaṇa) and frames liberation as attainable even in embodied life (jīvanmukti), not merely as a post-mortem reward.
