स उवाच द्विजश्रेष्ठ दत्तं मे दक्षिणं करम् । कदाचिदन्यथाकर्तुं न शक्नोमि च सर्वथा

sa uvāca dvijaśreṣṭha dattaṃ me dakṣiṇaṃ karam | kadācidanyathākartuṃ na śaknomi ca sarvathā

അവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ദ്വിജശ്രേഷ്ഠാ! എന്റെ വലങ്കൈ ദത്തമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാൻ ഒരിക്കലും യാതൊരു വിധത്തിലും ഇതിന് വിരുദ്ധമായി ചെയ്യാൻ കഴിയില്ല।
