FAQs

It places the scene on the Yamunā’s riverbank, using a well-known tīrtha landscape as the backdrop for a pivotal emotional and devotional moment, emphasizing the sanctity and narrative importance of the river.

By foregrounding Vasudeva’s intense grief and anxious contemplation, the verse highlights inward feeling (bhāva) and human vulnerability—emotional tones that often frame devotional dependence on the divine in Purāṇic storytelling.

It illustrates how anxiety and sorrow can overwhelm the mind, implicitly encouraging steadiness and seeking higher refuge (dharma and divine support) rather than being consumed by excessive worry.
