Womb-Suffering and the Path to Liberation
Dialogue of Wisdom, Meditation, and Discernment
एवमाकर्ण्य शुद्धात्मा वीतरागं गतः पुनः । तमुवाच श्वसन्दीनः श्रूयतां वचनं मम
evamākarṇya śuddhātmā vītarāgaṃ gataḥ punaḥ | tamuvāca śvasandīnaḥ śrūyatāṃ vacanaṃ mama
Śvasandīna
Concept: Attentive hearing transforms: by listening, the śuddhātmā becomes vītarāga again, then receives further instruction—śravaṇa prepares the heart for the sukha-mārga.
Application: Cultivate disciplined listening to dharmic discourse; notice how good hearing reduces agitation and reactivity; invite further guidance with humility.

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"Śvasandīna, a composed teacher-sage, turns toward a newly calmed seeker whose face softens as attachment falls away. The moment is intimate: hands raised in a gentle ‘listen’ gesture, a rosary and palm-leaf manuscript nearby, as if the next teaching is about to unfold like a lotus opening.","primary_figures":["Śvasandīna (sage/teacher)","Śuddhātmā seeker (disciple)"],"setting":"Hermitage teaching space with kusa mat, palm-leaf manuscripts, water-pot, and a small sacrificial fire reduced to embers.","lighting_mood":"temple lamp-lit","color_palette":["warm amber","smoked umber","sage green","ivory","deep maroon"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: Śvasandīna seated on a decorated pedestal, right hand in teaching mudrā, left holding palm-leaf; disciple kneels; gold leaf on halos and borders, rich reds/greens, ornate arch with lotus and conch motifs, jewel-like detailing.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: quiet interior of an āśrama pavilion; delicate lines, soft shading; teacher inclines slightly forward saying ‘śrūyatām’; cool yet warm-balanced palette, refined expressions, minimal props for contemplative intimacy.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines; teacher and disciple in frontal symmetry; stylized embers and lotus patterns; red/yellow/green pigments with black contouring and characteristic eye shapes.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: narrative vignette framed by floral borders; lotus buds opening around the figures to symbolize unfolding instruction; deep blue background with gold highlights; peacocks perched quietly to suggest attentive listening."}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: एवमाकर्ण्य = एवम् + आकर्ण्य; तमुवाच = तम् + उवाच
It depicts a return to vairāgya—freedom from rāga (attachment/passion)—after listening to prior instruction, indicating inner purification through hearing.
Śvasandīna is the speaker, introducing an instructive statement—“hear my words”—signaling the continuation of a teaching or counsel.
It reinforces receptivity and disciplined listening: hearing wise counsel can restore clarity and detachment, preparing one to act without selfish craving.
