वीतराग उवाच । पुमान्स्थितो यः पुरतो महापाशैर्नियंत्रितः । मोहस्य बाणैः संभ्रांतः संसारस्य च बंधनैः

vītarāga uvāca | pumānsthito yaḥ purato mahāpāśairniyaṃtritaḥ | mohasya bāṇaiḥ saṃbhrāṃtaḥ saṃsārasya ca baṃdhanaiḥ

വീതരാഗൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഒരാൾ നില്ക്കുന്നു; മഹാപാശങ്ങളാൽ നിയന്ത്രിതൻ, മോഹത്തിന്റെ ബാണങ്ങളാൽ വിറങ്ങലിച്ച്, സംസാരബന്ധനങ്ങളാൽ ബന്ധിതൻ.”
