The speaker is Jala (Water), personified, describing its role as continually sustaining the body with amṛta-like vitality.
Amṛta (nectar/ambrosia) functions as a symbol of life-sustaining essence—indicating water’s nourishing, restorative power for embodied beings.
It highlights the principle of sustaining life through continual, regular support—an implicit reminder to honor life-preserving resources (like water) and one’s duties that maintain wellbeing.
