It teaches that tirtha-bathing becomes spiritually effective when accompanied by inner qualifications—purity, self-restraint, non-violence, and faith—leading to freedom from sin and ultimately the supreme goal (paramaṃ padam).
By emphasizing śraddhā (faith) and ethical living (ahiṃsā, discipline), it frames external ritual (snāna) as supportive of an inner devotional orientation where sincere faith and righteous conduct mature into liberation.
It highlights ritual discipline (prayata) and purity rules foundational to Kalpa (Vedic ritual procedure): sacred bathing is prescribed with conduct-based prerequisites like śauca (cleanliness) and ahiṃsā for full religious merit.
