Sanatkumara (teaching Narada)
Vrata: Ekādaśī
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It elevates a specific calendrical occurrence—Māgha śukla Ekādaśī coinciding with Sunday—as especially potent for expiating even mahāpātakas, highlighting the Purāṇic doctrine of time-sanctified vrata.
By praising Ekādaśī’s sin-destroying power, it implicitly directs the devotee toward Vishnu-oriented vrata observance—fasting, restraint, and remembrance—as a practical expression of bhakti.
It relies on Jyotiṣa-style calendrics: identifying tithi (Ekādaśī), pakṣa (bright fortnight), lunar month (Māgha), and vāra (Sunday) to determine the vrata’s specific timing and stated fruit.
