Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: vira
It frames pilgrimage (yātrā) as purposeful movement toward a sacred geography—here, Mandara—preparing the listener for the forthcoming tīrtha-māhātmya and its merit-bearing results.
While not explicitly teaching bhakti practices, it supports bhakti indirectly by showing the devotee-sage’s eagerness to reach holy places associated with divine presence, where worship, vows, and remembrance become intensified.
No specific Vedāṅga is taught in this line; it functions as narrative chronology (time-counting of days) and sacred topography, which commonly precede ritual instructions in tīrtha sections.
