एवं ब्रुवाणं तनयं बहुभूपालसंवृतम् । रुक्मांगदः परिष्वज्य पुनराह सुतं वचः । सत्यमेतत्त्वया पुत्र व्याहृतं धर्मवेदिना ॥ ३८ ॥

evaṃ bruvāṇaṃ tanayaṃ bahubhūpālasaṃvṛtam | rukmāṃgadaḥ pariṣvajya punarāha sutaṃ vacaḥ | satyametattvayā putra vyāhṛtaṃ dharmavedinā || 38 ||

പല രാജാക്കന്മാർ ചുറ്റിനിന്നപ്പോൾ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ പുത്രനെ റുക്മാംഗദൻ ആലിംഗനം ചെയ്ത് വീണ്ടും പറഞ്ഞു—“പുത്രാ, നീ ഉച്ചരിച്ചതെല്ലാം സത്യം; ധർമ്മം അറിയുന്നവന്റെ വാക്കുകളാണവ।”
