Sanatkumara (in instruction to Narada)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It teaches that a rite becomes ethically and spiritually complete when it is sealed with dāna (charity), dakṣiṇā (honoring the officiants), and brāhmaṇa-bhojana (feeding), transforming ritual into compassion and social dharma.
Bhakti is expressed not only through worship but through service—supporting Veda-knowers and offering food and gifts with humility, which cultivates surrender and gratitude aligned with devotional living.
It reflects Kalpa (ritual procedure) in practice—specifically the customary concluding acts of a ceremony: giving dakṣiṇā, making appropriate gifts, and arranging brāhmaṇa feeding according to one’s means.
