Adhyaya 8 — Vasu's Redemption
स राजा तत्र सम्प्राप्तो दुःखितः शोचनॊद्यतः ।
हा भृत्या मन्त्रिणो विप्राः तद्राज्यं विधे गतम् ॥
sa rājā tatra samprāpto duḥkhitaḥ śocanodyataḥ /
hā bhṛtyā mantriṇo viprāḥ tad rājyaṃ vidhe gatam
ആ രാജാവ് ദുഃഖാകുലനായി, കണ്ണുനീർ പൊഴിക്കാനൊരുങ്ങി ആ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി—“അയ്യോ! എന്റെ സേവകർ, എന്റെ മന്ത്രിമാർ, എന്റെ ബ്രാഹ്മണർ! ദൈവവശാൽ ആ രാജ്യം നശിച്ചു!”
