Adhyaya 63 — The Birth of Svarocis and the Rescue of Manoramā: The Astra-Heart and the Healing of Curses
नष्टस्मृतिर्यदा क्रुद्धः स्वमपत्यञ्चिखादिषुः ।
निशाचरत्बं गन्तासि तदस्त्रानलतापितः ॥
naṣṭa-smṛtir yadā kruddhaḥ svam apatyam cikhādiṣuḥ | niśācaratvaṃ gantāsi tad-astrānala-tāpitaḥ ||
സ്മൃതി നഷ്ടപ്പെടുത്തി ക്രോധത്തിൽ ഉന്മത്തനായി നീ നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം സന്തതിയെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുവാൻ ശ്രമിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ആയുധാഗ്നിയിൽ ദഗ്ധനായി നീ നിശാചരാവസ്ഥയിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കും.

Anger coupled with delusion (loss of discernment/memory) drives one toward the gravest violations of dharma (violence against one’s own), and such inner collapse is portrayed as producing an outer ‘demonic’ condition.
