Adhyaya 49 — Cosmic Dissolution
स चापि तत्त्वतो ज्ञात्वा तदा ग्रस्तां वसुन्धराम् ।
वत्सं कृत्वा सुमेरुं तु दुदोह भगवान् विभुः ॥
sa cāpi tattvato jñātvā tadā grastāṃ vasundharām /
vatsaṃ kṛtvā sumeruṃ tu dudoha bhagavān vibhuḥ //
അവൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാവ്)യും കാര്യത്തിന്റെ തത്ത്വം അറിഞ്ഞ്, ഭൂമി ‘ഗ്രസിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ’ ആയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു, സർവ്വശക്തനായ ഭഗവാൻ സുമേരു പർവതത്തെ കിടാവാക്കി അവളെ ദോഹനം ചെയ്തു।
