Adhyaya 49 — Primordial Human Creation, the Rise of Desire, and the Origins of Settlements, Measures, and Agriculture

Sanskrit

तेन दोषेण ता नेशुरौषध्यो मिषतां द्विज ।

अग्रसद् भूर्युगपत्तास्तदौषध्यो महामते ॥

Transliteration

tena doṣeṇa tā neśur auṣadhyo miṣatāṃ dvija /

agrasad bhūryugapattās tad-auṣadhyo mahāmate //

Translation

ആ ദോഷം മൂലം, ഹേ ദ്വിജാ, അവരുടെ കണ്ണുമുന്നിൽ തന്നേ ആ ഔഷധികൾ നശിച്ചു. ഹേ ജ്ഞാനീ, അതേ ഔഷധികൾ ഒരേ സമയം മഹത്തായ അളവിൽ ഭക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടു।
