एवं बहूनि वर्षाणि तस्य पालयतो महीम् ।

धर्मार्थकामसक्तस्य जग्मुरेकमहर्ह्यथा ॥

evaṃ bahūni varṣāṇi tasya pālayato mahīm |

dharmārtha-kāma-saktasya jagmur eka-mahar yathā ||

ഇങ്ങനെ ഭൂമിയെ ഭരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, ധർമ്മം-അർത്ഥം-കാമം എന്നിവയിൽ നിരതനായ അവനു അനേകം വർഷങ്ങൾ ഒരുദിനംപോലെ കടന്നുപോയി।
