Adhyaya 35 — Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)
प्रोताय सलिलं देयं बहिर्दग्ध्वा तु गोत्रिकैः ।
प्रथमे 'ह्नि चतुर्थे च सप्तमे नवमे तथा ॥
protāya salilaṃ deyaṃ bahir dagdhvā tu gotrikaiḥ | prathame 'hni caturthe ca saptame navame tathā ||
മരിച്ചവർക്ക് ഉദകക്രിയ ചെയ്യേണ്ടതാണ്; ഗ്രാമത്തിന് പുറത്ത് ദഹിപ്പിച്ച ശേഷം, ഗോത്രബന്ധുക്കൾ ഒന്നാം ദിവസം, നാലാം ദിവസം, ഏഴാം ദിവസം, ഒമ്പതാം ദിവസം എന്നിവയിൽ കർമ്മങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യണം.
