Adhyaya 31Naimittika and Related Śrāddha Rites: Sapiṇḍīkaraṇa, Eligibility, Timing, and Procedure

रेतोमूत्रकृताहारास्तन् मासं पितरस्तयोः ।

तस्मात्तु प्रथमं कार्यं प्राज्ञेनोपनिमन्त्रणम् ॥

retomūtrakṛtāhārāstanmāsaṃ pitarastayoḥ | tasmāttu prathamaṃ kāryaṃ prājñenopanimantraṇam ||

ആ മാസത്തിൽ ആ രണ്ടുപേരുടെ പിതൃകൾ ആഹാരമായി ശുക്രം, മൂത്രം, മലമൂത്രം എന്നിവയിൽ ആശ്രയിച്ച് ജീവിക്കുന്നു. അതുകൊണ്ട് ജ്ഞാനി ആദ്യം യഥോചിത അതിഥികളെ മുൻകൂട്ടി ക്ഷണിക്കണം।
