सरस्वत्युवाच वरं ते कंबलब्रातः प्रयच्छाम्युरगाधिप ।
तदुच्यतां प्रदास्यामि यत्ते मनसि वर्तते ॥
sarasvatyuvāca varaṃ te kambalabhrātaḥ prayacchāmyuragādhipa ! /
taducyatāṃ pradāsyāmi yatte manasi vartate
സരസ്വതി പറഞ്ഞു: കംബലന്റെ സഹോദരാ, സർപ്പങ്ങളുടെ നാഥാ, ഞാൻ നിനക്കൊരു വരം നൽകുന്നു. നിന്റെ മനസ്സിലുള്ളത് പറയുക—അത് എല്ലാം ഞാൻ പ്രസാദിക്കും।
