या तु भर्तुर्वधं श्रुत्वा तत्क्षणादेव भामिनी ।
भर्तारमनुयातेयं न शोच्यातो विपश्चिताम् ॥
yā tu bhartur vadhaṃ śrutvā tatkṣaṇād eva bhāminī |
bhartāram anuyātā iyaṃ na śocyāto vipaścitām ||
എന്നാൽ ആ ധൈര്യവതിയായ സ്ത്രീ, ഭർത്താവിന്റെ വധവാർത്ത കേട്ട ഉടൻ തന്നെ ഭർത്താവിനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു—അവളെ പണ്ഡിതർ ശോകിക്കേണ്ടതില്ല.
