अतः प्रयच्छ मे वीर हिरण्यार्थं स्वभूषणम् ।
यदेतत् कण्ठलग्नं ते रक्ष चेमं माश्रमम् ॥
ataḥ prayaccha me vīra hiraṇyārthaṃ svabhūṣaṇam | yad etat kaṇṭhalagnaṃ te rakṣa cemam āśramam
അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ വീരാ, സ്വർണ്ണത്തിനായി നിന്റെ കഴുത്തിൽ തൂങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്ന ആ ആഭരണം എനിക്ക് തരിക; കൂടാതെ എന്റെ ഈ ആശ്രമവും സംരക്ഷിക്കണം।

Generosity is praised, but indiscriminate giving can empower adharma. The ideal donor considers the worthiness of the recipient and the wider consequences.
