वयमाप्यायिता मर्त्यैर्यज्ञभागैर्यथोचितैः ।
वृष्ट्या ताननुगृह्णीमो मर्त्यान् शस्यादिसिद्धये ॥
vayam āpyāyitā martyair yajñabhāgair yathocitaiḥ |
vṛṣṭyā tān anugṛhṇīmo martyān śasyādisiddhaye ||
യജ്ഞത്തിൽ നിശ്ചിതമായ അംശങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യർ ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് അർപ്പിച്ച് ഞങ്ങളെ പോഷിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ഞങ്ങൾ മഴയിലൂടെ അവരെ അനുഗ്രഹിച്ച് ധാന്യശസ്യാദികൾ വിജയകരമായി വളരാൻ ഇടയാക്കുന്നു।
