कड़क उवाच किं ते द्यूतेन राजेन्द्र बहुदोषेण मानद | देवने बहवो दोषास्तस्मात् तत् परिवर्जयेत्,कंक बोले--सबको मान देनेवाले महाराज! आपको जूएसे क्या लेना है? इसमें तो बहुत-से दोष हैं। जूआ खेलनेमें अनेक दोष होते हैं, इसलिये इसे त्याग देना चाहिये
kaḍaka uvāca kiṁ te dyūtena rājendra bahudoṣeṇa mānada | devane bahavo doṣās tasmāt tat parivarjayet ||
കങ്കൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മാനദാതാവായ രാജേന്ദ്രാ! നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് ചൂതെന്തിന്? അതിൽ അനവധി ദോഷങ്ങളുണ്ട്. ചൂതാടുന്നതിൽ പല അനർത്ഥങ്ങളും ഉണ്ട്; അതിനാൽ അത് ഉപേക്ഷിക്കണം.
