ततो दिशश्वानुदिशो विवृत्य शरै: सुधारैर्निशितै: सुपत्रै: । गाण्डीवघोषेण मनांसि तेषां महाबल: प्रव्यथयाज्चकार
tato diśaś cānudiśo vivṛtya śaraiḥ sudhārair niśitaiḥ supatraiḥ | gāṇḍīvaghoṣeṇa manāṃsi teṣāṃ mahābalaḥ pravyathayāc cakāra ||
പിന്നീട് ആ മഹാബലൻ സുന്ദരപക്ഷങ്ങളുള്ള, മൂർച്ചയേറിയ അമ്പുകളാൽ എല്ലാ ദിക്കുകളും ഉപദിക്കുകളും മൂടി. ഗാണ്ഡീവത്തിന്റെ ഇടിമുഴക്കത്തുല്യമായ ടങ്കാരത്തോടെ കൗരവയോദ്ധാക്കളുടെ മനസ്സുകളിൽ ഭയംയും കലക്കവും കടുത്തതായി ഉണർത്തി.
