दृष्टवा प्रयातांस्तु कुरून् किरीटी ह्ृष्टोडब्रवीत् तत्र स मत्स्यपुत्रम् । आवर्तयाश्वान् पशवो जितास्ते याता: परे याहि पुरं प्रह्ृष्ट:
dṛṣṭvā prayātāṁs tu kurūn kirīṭī hṛṣṭo 'bravīt tatra sa matsyaputram | āvartayāśvān paśavo jitās te yātāḥ pare yāhi puraṁ prahṛṣṭaḥ ||
കുരുക്കൾ പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയതു കണ്ട കിരീടധാരി അർജുനൻ ഹർഷിച്ച് അവിടെ തന്നെ മത്സ്യപുത്രൻ ഉത്തരനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“കുതിരകളെ തിരിച്ചു മടക്കുക. നിന്റെ പശുക്കൾ വീണ്ടെടുത്തു; ശത്രുക്കൾ ദൂരെയായി പോയി; അതിനാൽ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ നഗരത്തിലേക്ക് പോകുക।”
