पाण्डवपरिचयः—विराटसभायां प्रकाशनम्
Identification of the Pāṇḍavas in Virāṭa’s Court
न त्वेष बीभत्सुरलं नृशंसं कर्तु न पापे5स्य मनो विशिष्टम्
na tveṣa bībhatsur alaṁ nṛśaṁsaṁ kartuṁ na pāpe 'sya mano viśiṣṭam
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഈ അർജുനൻ (ബീഭത്സു) ക്രൂരവും അമാനുഷവുമായ പ്രവൃത്തികൾ ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ അല്ല. അവന്റെ മനസ്സ് പാപത്തിലേക്ക് ചായുന്നില്ല. ത്രിലോകാധിപത്യം ലഭിക്കാനായാലും അവൻ തന്റെ ധർമ്മം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കുകയില്ല. അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ഈ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ അവൻ നമ്മളൊക്കെയെയും വധിക്കാതിരുന്നത്. കുരുവംശത്തിലെ ശ്രേഷ്ഠവീരാ, നീ വേഗം കുരുദേശത്തേക്ക് മടങ്ങുക; പാർത്ഥനും പശുക്കളെ ജയിച്ച് മടങ്ങിവരും. മോഹം മൂലം നിന്റെ സ്വന്തം ഹിതം നശിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്ക. കല്യാണം വരുത്തുന്ന പ്രവൃത്തിയേ ചെയ്യേണ്ടത്.
