Adhyāya 61: Saṃmohana-astra and the Kuru Withdrawal (संमोहनास्त्रं तथा कुरुनिवृत्तिः)
तस्य जिष्णुरुपावृत्य पृथुधारेण कार्मुकम् | चकर्त गार्ध्रपत्रेण जातरूपपरिष्कृतम्,तब अर्जुन उसकी ओर मुड़े और मोटी धार और गीधकी पाँख-जैसे पंखवाले बाणसे उन्होंने दुःशासनके सुवर्णजटित धनुषको काट डाला
tasya jiṣṇur upāvṛtya pṛthudhāreṇa kārmukam | cakarta gārdhrapatreṇa jātarūpa-pariṣkṛtam ||
അപ്പോൾ ജിഷ്ണുവായ അർജുനൻ അവന്റെ നേരെ തിരിഞ്ഞ്, വിശാലധാരയുള്ളതും കഴുകിന്റെ ചിറകുപോലുള്ള തൂവലുകളുള്ളതുമായ അമ്പുകൊണ്ട് സ്വർണ്ണാഭരണങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിച്ചിരുന്ന അവന്റെ ധനുസ്സിനെ വെട്ടിമുറിച്ചു.
