आनुपूर्व्यात् तु तत् सर्वमास्थाय जवमुत्तमम् | प्राहिणोच्चन्द्रसंकाशान् कुपितानिव तान् हयान्,घोड़ोंको वेगपूर्वक भगानेके जितने उत्तम ढंग हैं, क्रमशः उन सबका सहारा लेकर उत्तरने उन चन्द्रमाके समान श्वेत घोड़ोंको इतनी तीव्र गतिसे आगे बढ़ाया, मानो वे कुपित होकर भाग रहे हों
ānupūrvyāt tu tat sarvam āsthāya javam uttamam | prāhiṇoc candrasaṅkāśān kupitān iva tān hayān ||
പിന്നീട് ക്രമാനുസൃതമായി വേഗം കൂട്ടാനുള്ള ഏറ്റവും നല്ല മാർഗങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം പ്രയോഗിച്ച്, ഉത്തരൻ ചന്ദ്രനെപ്പോലെ പ്രകാശിക്കുന്ന ആ വെളുത്ത കുതിരകളെ അതിവേഗത്തിൽ മുന്നോട്ടോടിച്ചു—അവ തന്നെ കോപത്തോടെ പാഞ്ഞുപോകുന്നതുപോലെ।
