अध्याय ५०: उत्तरेण सह अर्जुनस्य रथप्रयाणे ध्वजचिह्नैः कौरवसेनानिर्देशः
Arjuna directs Uttara by identifying Kaurava commanders through banners
प्राप्य द्यूतिन को राज्यं क्षत्रियस्तोष्टमर्हति । तथा नृशंसरूपो<यं धार्त॑राष्ट्रश्न निर्धण:
prāpya dyūtinaḥ ko rājyaṃ kṣatriyas toṣṭum arhati | tathā nṛśaṃsa-rūpo 'yaṃ dhārtarāṣṭraḥ sa nirdhanaḥ ||
കൃപൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ചൂതിലൂടെ രാജ്യം നേടിയാൽ ഏത് ക്ഷത്രിയൻ തൃപ്തനാകുമോ? എങ്കിലും ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രപുത്രൻ ദുര്യോധനൻ അതിൽ തന്നെയാണ് തൃപ്തൻ; കാരണം അവന്റെ സ്വഭാവം ക്രൂരമാണ്, അവൻ നിർദയനും അധമനും ആകുന്നു.
