जयो जयन्तो विजयो जयत्सेनो जयद्धल: । इति गुह्मानि नामानि चक्रे तेषां युधिष्ठिर:,तब युधिष्ठिरने क्रमश: पाँचों भाइयोंके जय, जयन्त, विजय, जयत्सेन और जयद्वल-- ये गुप्त नाम रखे
jayo jayanto vijayo jayatseno jayaddhalaḥ | iti guhyāni nāmāni cakre teṣāṃ yudhiṣṭhiraḥ ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ സഹോദരന്മാർക്ക് ഗൂഢനാമങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചയിച്ചു: ജയ, ജയന്ത, വിജയ, ജയത്സേന, ജയദ്ധല. അജ്ഞാതവാസത്തിൽ പ്രതിജ്ഞ കാത്തും തിരിച്ചറിയപ്പെടാതെയും ഇരിക്കാൻ ഇതായിരുന്നു ഉപായം.
