Dhaumya’s Counsel on Incognito Conduct in a Royal Household (राजवसतौ आचरण-निति)
धौग्य उवाच विहितं पाण्डवा: सर्व ब्राह्मणेषु सुहृत्सु च । याने प्रहरणे चैव तथैवाग्निषु भारत,धौम्यजी बोले--पाण्डवो! ब्राह्मणों, सुहृदों, सवारी या युद्ध-यात्रा, आयुध या युद्ध तथा अग्नियोंके प्रति जो शास्त्रविहित कर्तव्य हैं, उन्हें तुम अच्छी तरह जानते हो और तदनुकूल तुमने जो व्यवस्था की है, वह सब ठीक है। भारत! अब मैं तुमसे यह कहना चाहता हूँ कि तुम और अर्जुन सावधान रहकर सरुदा द्रौपदीकी रक्षा करना। लोकव्यवहारकी सभी बातें अथवा साधारण लोगोंके व्यवहार तुम सब लोगोंको विदित हैं - ५ ५
dhaumya uvāca | vihitaṁ pāṇḍavāḥ sarvaṁ brāhmaṇeṣu suhṛtsu ca | yāne praharaṇe caiva tathaivāgniṣu bhārata ||
ധൗമ്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ പാണ്ഡവരേ! ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരോടും സ്നേഹിതസുഹൃത്തുകളോടും, അതുപോലെ വാഹനങ്ങൾ, ആയുധങ്ങൾ, പവിത്ര അഗ്നികൾ എന്നിവയോടും ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ശാസ്ത്രം വിധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കര്ത്തവ്യങ്ങൾ എല്ലാം നിങ്ങൾ നന്നായി അറിഞ്ഞു, അതനുസരിച്ച് ക്രമീകരണവും ശരിയായി ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു, ഹേ ഭാരത!
