यान॑ वस्त्रमलड्कारं यच्चान्यत् सम्प्रयच्छति । तदेव धारयेन्नित्यमेवं प्रियतरो भवेत्,राजा प्रसन्न होकर सवारी, वस्त्र, आभूषण तथा और भी जो कोई वस्तु दे, उसीको सदा धारण करे या उपयोगमें लावे। ऐसा करनेसे वह राजाका अधिक प्रिय होता है
yānaṁ vastram alaṅkāraṁ yac cānyat samprayacchati | tad eva dhārayen nityam evaṁ priyataro bhavet ||
രാജാവ് പ്രസന്നനായി നൽകുന്ന വാഹനമോ വസ്ത്രമോ ആഭരണങ്ങളോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും വസ്തുവോ—അതേ തന്നെയെപ്പോഴും ധരിക്കുകയും ഉപയോഗിക്കുകയും വേണം. ഇങ്ങനെ രാജാനുഗ്രഹം സ്ഥിരമായി സ്വീകരിച്ച് പ്രകടമാക്കുന്നതാൽ അവൻ രാജാവിന് കൂടുതൽ പ്രിയനാകും.
