Educational Q&A

True worth may remain concealed, yet dharma requires recognizing and relying on genuine competence. The verse highlights prudent dependence on the truly capable (Arjuna), even when that capability is hidden by disguise and circumstance.

During the cattle-raid episode, Prince Uttara departs from the city to face the threat, appointing the disguised Arjuna as his charioteer—setting the stage for Arjuna’s concealed identity to become pivotal in the coming conflict.
