शमीवृक्षस्थायुधप्रकाशनम् / Revelation and Identification of the Weapons on the Śamī Tree
ततस्तांश्वोदयामास सदश्वान् पाण्डुनन्दन: । ते हया नरसिंहेन नोदिता वातरंहस: । आलिखन्त इवाकाशमूहु: काज्चनमालिन:,तब पाण्डुनन्दन अर्जुनने उत्तरके उत्तम जातिके घोड़ोंको हाँका और उनकी बाग ढीली कर दी। नरश्रेष्ठ अर्जुनके हाँकनेपर सोनेकी माला पहने हुए वे घोड़े हवाके समान वेगसे चलने लगे, मानो आकाशगमें अपनी टाप अड़ाते हुए रथ लिये उड़े जा रहे हों
tatas tān śvodayāmāsa sadaśvān pāṇḍunandanaḥ | te hayā narasiṃhena noditā vātarāṃhasaḥ | ālikhanta ivākāśam ūhuḥ kāñcanamālinaḥ ||
അപ്പോൾ പാണ്ഡുനന്ദനനായ അർജുനൻ ഉത്തരന്റെ ഉത്തമജാതിയുള്ള കുതിരകളെ ഉത്സാഹിപ്പിച്ച് കെട്ടുതളർത്തി. നരസിംഹനായ അർജുനന്റെ പ്രേരണയിൽ സ്വർണമാലകൾ ധരിച്ച ആ കുതിരകൾ കാറ്റിന്റെ വേഗത്തിൽ പാഞ്ഞു—കുളമ്പുകളാൽ ആകാശം തന്നെ ചുരണ്ടിക്കൊണ്ട് രഥം വഹിച്ച് പറക്കുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നി।
