Virāṭa’s Mobilization to Recover the Cattle (गोधनरक्षणार्थ विराटस्य सैन्यसमायोजनम्)

वैशम्पायन उवाच ततो दुर्योधनो राजा वाक्यमादाय तस्य तत्‌ | वैकर्तनस्य कर्णस्य क्षिप्रमाज्ञापपत्‌ स्वयम्‌,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! राजा दुर्योधनने सूर्यपुत्र कर्णकी बात मानकर अपनी आज्ञाका पालन करनेके लिये सदा संनद्ध रहनेवाले छोटे भाई दुःशासनको स्वयं ही तुरंत आदेश दे दिया--“वृद्धजनोंकी सम्मति लेकर शीघ्र अपनी सेनाको प्रस्थानके लिये तैयार करो

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tato duryodhano rājā vākyam ādāya tasya tat | vaikartanasya karṇasya kṣipram ājñāpayat svayam |

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതിനുശേഷം രാജാവ് ദുര്യോധനൻ സൂതപുത്രൻ കർണ്ണന്റെ ആ വാക്ക് സ്വീകരിച്ച് സ്വയം തന്നെ ഉടൻ ആജ്ഞ പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ചു.
