द्रौपद्याः भीमसेन-प्रबोधनम्
Draupadī Awakens Bhīmasena
इस प्रकार पकड़में आनेपर कीचकको धरतीपर गिराकर भयसे काँपती हुई द्रौपदीने भागकर उस राज-सभाकी शरण ली, जहाँ राजा युधिष्ठिर विद्यमान थे ।। तां कीचकः प्रधावन्तीं केशपाशे परामृशत् । अथीनां पश्यतो राज्ञ: पातयित्वा पदावधीत्
tāṃ kīcakaḥ pradhāvantīṃ keśapāśe parāmṛśat | athīnām paśyato rājñaḥ pātayitvā padāvadhīt ||
ഇങ്ങനെ കീചകനെ നിലത്തേക്ക് വീഴ്ത്തി, ഭയത്തിൽ വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ദ്രൗപദി ഓടി രാജസഭയിൽ അഭയം തേടി—അവിടെ രാജാവ് യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. എന്നാൽ കീചകൻ പാഞ്ഞെത്തി അവളുടെ മുടിക്കെട്ട് പിടിച്ചു; രാജാവും സഭയിലെ പ്രഭുക്കളും നോക്കി നിൽക്കേ അവളെ താഴെ വീഴ്ത്തി കാൽ കൊണ്ട് അടിച്ചു.
