Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how desire can be pursued through persuasion in secrecy, raising ethical concerns about power, privacy, and consent; it implicitly invites reflection on dharma by showing the kind of counsel that can lead to misconduct.

The speaker narrates advice being given: a maidservant who has been sent should be approached in a secluded, unobstructed place and gently persuaded, with the expectation that she might then agree to sexual enjoyment.
