Adhyāya 14: Sudēṣṇā Sends Sairandhrī to Kīcaka’s House (सुदेष्णा–सैरन्ध्री–कीचक संवादः)
न चाप्यहं त्वया लभ्या गन्धर्वा: पतयो मम । ते त्वां निहन्यु: कुपिता: साध्वलं मा व्यनीनश:
na cāpy ahaṃ tvayā labhyā gandharvāḥ patayo mama | te tvāṃ nihanyuḥ kupitāḥ sādhvalaṃ mā vyanīnaśaḥ ||
“നിനക്കാൽ എന്നെ നേടാൻ കഴിയില്ല. ഗന്ധർവന്മാരാണ് എന്റെ ഭർത്താക്കന്മാർ. അവർ കോപിച്ചാൽ നിന്നെ വധിക്കും; അതിനാൽ സ്വയം നിയന്ത്രിക്ക. ഈ പാപബുദ്ധി ഉപേക്ഷിക്ക; നിന്റെ നാശം നീ തന്നെ വരുത്തരുത്.”
