Decision to Reside in Virāṭa’s City
सभास्तारो भविष्यामि तस्य राज्ञों महात्मन: । कड्को नाम द्विजो भूत्वा मताक्ष: प्रियदेवन:,मैं पासा खेलनेकी विद्या जानता हूँ और यह खेल मुझे प्रिय भी है, अतः मैं कंक- नामक ब्राह्मण बनकर महामना राजा विराटकी राजसभाका एक सदस्य हो जाऊँगा और वैदूर्यमणिके समान हरी, सुवर्णके समान पीली तथा हाथीदाँतकी बनी हुई काली और लाल रंगकी मनोहर गोटियोंको चमकीले बिन्दुओंसे युक्त पासोंके अनुसार चलाता रहूँगा
yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | sabhāstaro bhaviṣyāmi tasya rājño mahātmanaḥ | kaṅko nāma dvijo bhūtvā matākṣaḥ priyadevanaḥ ||
യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ആ മഹാത്മാവായ രാജാവ് വിരാടന്റെ രാജസഭയിൽ ഞാൻ ഒരു സഭാസദനാകും. ‘കങ്ക’ എന്ന നാമം ധരിച്ചു ബ്രാഹ്മണവേഷം സ്വീകരിച്ച്, പാശക്രീഡയിൽ നിപുണനും ആ കളിയിൽ ആസക്തനുമായിട്ട് ഞാൻ അവിടെ രാജസഭയിൽ പാർക്കും.
