Dhaumya’s Enumeration of Eastern Tīrthas

Prācī-diś Tīrtha-kathana

ततः स चक्रे भगवानृषीणां विधिवत्‌ तदा । सर्वेषां पुनराधानं विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा,तदनन्तर भगवान्‌ भृगुने वहाँ सब ऋषियोंके यहाँ शास्त्रीय विधिके अनुसार पुनः भलीभाँति अग्निस्थापन कराया। उस समय आज्यभागके द्वारा विधिपूर्वक अग्निको तृप्त करके सब देवता और ऋषि क्रमश: अपने-अपने स्थानको चले गये

tataḥ sa cakre bhagavān ṛṣīṇāṃ vidhivat tadā | sarveṣāṃ punarādhānaṃ vidhidṛṣṭena karmaṇā ||

അതിനുശേഷം ഭഗവാൻ ഭൃഗു ശാസ്ത്രവിധിപ്രകാരം എല്ലാ ഋഷിമാർക്കും യഥാവിധി പുനഃ അഗ്നിസ്ഥാപനം നടത്തി.

Educational Q&A

Dharma is maintained and restored through vidhivat—properly prescribed conduct. Even after interruption or disorder, sacred order is re-established by disciplined adherence to injunctions rather than improvisation or neglect.

Pulastya narrates that a venerable sage performs the formal re-establishment of the sacred fires for the assembled seers according to scriptural procedure; after the fire is duly satisfied with offerings, the gods and sages depart to their respective abodes.
