नलस्य दमयन्त्युत्सर्गः
Nala’s Abandonment of Damayantī in the Lodging Hall
ततः सूत उपागम्य दमयन्त्यै न््यवेदयत् । एष पौरजनो देवि द्वारि तिष्ठति कार्यवान्,इसी समय सारथिने महलमें जाकर महारानी दमयन्तीसे निवेदन किया--*देवि! ये पुरवासीलोग कार्यवश राजद्वारपर खड़े हैं
tataḥ sūta upāgamya damayantyai nyavedayat | eṣa paurajano devi dvāri tiṣṭhati kāryavān ||
അപ്പോൾ സാരഥി അടുത്തുവന്ന് ദമയന്തിയോട് അറിയിച്ചു— “ദേവി, നഗരവാസികൾ ഏതോ കാര്യാർത്ഥം രാജദ്വാരത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു।”
ब॒हृदश्चव उवाच
The verse highlights rajadharma in a domestic-court setting: those in authority should remain accessible to the people’s legitimate concerns, and information should be conveyed through proper channels with respect and clarity.
A charioteer enters and informs Queen Damayantī that the townspeople are waiting at the palace gate because they have some matter requiring attention.
