न मे स्थादपराधो5यं महादेवातिसाहसात् | कृतो मयायमज्ञानाद विमर्दो यस्त्वया सह | शरणं प्रतिपन्नाय तत् क्षमस्वाद्य शंकर
Arjuna uvāca |
na me stād aparādho 'yaṁ mahādevātisāhasāt |
kṛto mayāyam ajñānād vimardo yas tvayā saha |
śaraṇaṁ pratipannāya tat kṣamasvādya śaṅkara ||
മഹാദേവനോടുള്ള ഈ അതിസാഹസത്തിന്റെ അപരാധം എനിക്കു ചുമത്തരുതേ. അജ്ഞാനവശാൽ ഞാൻ അങ്ങയോടു ഈ സംഘർഷം നടത്തി. ശങ്കരാ, ഇപ്പോൾ ശരണാഗതനായ എന്നെ ഇന്ന് ക്ഷമിക്കണമേ.
