तस्य तद् वचन श्रुत्वा किरातस्यार्जुनस्तदा । रोषमाहारयामास ताडयामास चेषुभि:,किरातकी वह बात सुनकर उस समय अर्जुनको बड़ा क्रोध हुआ। उन्होंने बाणोंसे उसपर प्रहार आरम्भ किया
tasya tad vacanaṃ śrutvā kirātasya arjunas tadā | roṣam āhārayāmāsa tāḍayāmāsa ceṣubhiḥ ||
കിരാതന്റെ ആ വാക്കുകൾ കേട്ടപ്പോൾ അർജുനൻ ഉടൻ കോപത്തിൽ ജ്വലിച്ചു. അവൻ ഉള്ളിൽ രോഷം കൂട്ടി അമ്പുകളുടെ പ്രഹാരത്തോടെ അവനെ അടിക്കാൻ തുടങ്ങി।
