तां प्रभाते च सायं च पिता पप्रच्छ भारत । अपि तुष्यति ते पुत्रि ब्राह्मण: परिचर्यया,जनमेजय! पिता कुन्तिभोज प्रतिदिन प्रातःकाल और सायंकालमें पूछते थे--“बेटी! तुम्हारी सेवासे ब्राह्मणको संतोष तो है न?”
tāṃ prabhāte ca sāyaṃ ca pitā papraccha bhārata | api tuṣyati te putri brāhmaṇaḥ paricaryayā janamejaya |
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭാരതവംശജാ! അവളുടെ പിതാവ് പ്രഭാതത്തിലും സായാഹ്നത്തിലും ദിവസേന അവളോട് ചോദിച്ചു—“മകളേ! നിന്റെ പരിചര്യയാൽ ആ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ തൃപ്തനാണോ?”
