प्रसादये त्वां वरदं प्रणयाच्च ब्रवीम्यहम् । न निवार्यों व्रतादस्मादहं यद्यस्मि ते प्रिय:,प्रभो! आप वरदायक देवता हैं। मैं आपसे प्रसन्न रहनेका अनुरोध करता हूँ और प्रेमपूर्वक यह कहता हूँ कि यदि मैं आपका प्रिय हूँ तो आप मुझे इस व्रतसे विचलित न करें
prasādaye tvāṁ varadaṁ praṇayāc ca bravīmy aham | na nivāryo vratād asmād ahaṁ yady asmi te priyaḥ, prabho ||
പ്രഭോ, വരദായക ദേവാ! നിങ്ങളെ പ്രസന്നമാക്കാൻ ഞാൻ അപേക്ഷിക്കുന്നു; സ്നേഹത്തോടെ പറയുന്നു—ഞാൻ നിങ്ങള്ക്ക് പ്രിയനാണെങ്കിൽ, ഈ വ്രതത്തിൽ നിന്ന് എന്നെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കരുത്.
