तस्मै प्रयाचमानाय न देये कुण्डले त्वया । अनुनेय: परं शक््त्या श्रेय एतद्धि ते परम्,“उनके माँगनेपर तुम उन्हें अपने दोनों कुण्डल दे न देना। यथाशक्ति अनुनय-विनय करके उन्हें समझा देना; इससे तुम्हारा परम मंगल होगा
tasmai prayācamānāya na deye kuṇḍale tvayā | anuneyaḥ paraṁ śaktyā śreya etaddhi te param ||
വൈശംപായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അവൻ യാചിച്ചുവന്നാലും നീ നിന്റെ രണ്ടു കുണ്ഡലങ്ങൾ അവനു നൽകരുത്. കഴിയുന്നത്ര വിനയപൂർവം അനുനയിച്ച് അവനെ പിന്തിരിപ്പിക്കുക; ഇതുതന്നെയാണ് നിനക്കുള്ള പരമ ശ്രേയസ്.
