भारद्वाज उवाच यथास्य भार्या सावित्री तपसा च दमेन च । आचारेण च संयुक्ता तथा जीवति सत्यवान्
bhāradvāja uvāca | yathāsya bhāryā sāvitrī tapasā ca damena ca | ācāreṇa ca saṃyuktā tathā jīvati satyavān ||
ഭാരദ്വാജൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സത്യവാന്റെ ഭാര്യ സാവിത്രി തപസ്സും ദമവും (ഇന്ദ്രിയസംയമം) ശുദ്ധാചാരവും ചേർന്നവളായിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, സത്യവാനും ജീവിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
