अजुन उवाच उत्सृज्यतां चित्रसेन भ्रातास्माकं सुयोधन: । धर्मराजस्य संदेशान्मम चेदिच्छसि प्रियम्,अर्जुन बोले--चित्रसेन! दुर्योधन हमलोगोंका भाई है। यदि तुम मेरा प्रिय करना चाहते हो तो धर्मराजके आदेशसे इसे छोड़ दो
arjuna uvāca utsṛjyatāṃ citrasena bhrātāsmākaṃ suyodhanaḥ | dharmarājasya saṃdeśān mama ced icchasi priyam ||
അർജുനൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ചിത്രസേനാ! സുയോധനൻ (ദുര്യോധനൻ) നമ്മുടെ സഹോദരനാണ്; അവനെ വിട്ടയക്കുക. നീ എനിക്ക് പ്രിയമായതു ചെയ്യാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ, ധർമ്മരാജൻ (യുധിഷ്ഠിരൻ) അയച്ച സന്ദേശപ്രകാരം അവനെ മോചിപ്പിക്ക.”
