ततः सुतुमुलं युद्ध गन्धर्वाणां तरस्विनाम् । बभूव भीमवेगानां पाण्डवानां च भारत
tataḥ sutumulaṃ yuddhaṃ gandharvāṇāṃ tarasvinām | babhūva bhīmavegānāṃ pāṇḍavānāṃ ca bhārata ||
അതിനുശേഷം, ഹേ ഭാരതാ! അതിവീര്യശാലികളായ ഗന്ധർവന്മാരും ഭീമവേഗമുള്ള പാണ്ഡവന്മാരും തമ്മിൽ അത്യന്തം ഘോരവും കലഹഭരിതവുമായ യുദ്ധം പൊട്ടിപ്പുറപ്പെട്ടു।
