चित्रसेनगन्धर्वैः कौरवसंनिपातः

अरजे वाससी रक्ते वसान: पावकात्मज: । भाति दीप्तवपु: श्रीमान् रक्ताभ्राभ्यामिवांशुमान्,अग्निनन्दन स्कन्द लाल रंगके दो स्वच्छ वस्त्र धारण किये कान्तिमान् एवं तेजस्वी शरीरसे ऐसी शोभा पा रहे थे, मानो दो लाल बादलोंके साथ भगवान् अंशुमाली (सूर्य) सुशोभित हो रहे हों
araje vāsasī rakte vasānaḥ pāvakātmajaḥ | bhāti dīptavapuḥ śrīmān raktābhrābhyām ivāṃśumān ||
അഗ്നിപുത്രനായ സ്കന്ദൻ രണ്ട് നിർമലമായ ചുവന്ന വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ ധരിച്ചു, ദീപ്തിമാനുമായ ശ്രീമയ ദേഹത്തോടെ പ്രകാശിച്ചു—രണ്ട് രക്തമേഘങ്ങളാൽ അലങ്കരിക്കപ്പെട്ട അംശുമാൻ സൂര്യനെപ്പോലെ.
